On the latest episode of “R&B Divas: LA,” the girls were still dealing with the drama that occurred last week when Kelly completely snapped on Chante Moore during their monologue rehearsal. With time winding down, the girls needed to figure out who they were going to let direct them and which direction they would take. With Kelly Price‘s birthday coming up, the girls had to squash their beef and come together to make a decision, without the Timberland boots and Vaseline this time.

Find out what happened below:

Drama With Chante

The episode began with all of the ladies, minus Kelly, recapping all of the drama that went down at the last monologue practice over drinks. They were all still shocked that Kelly went off on Chante in the manner she did and knew that something needed to be done if they were going to work together on the monologue. Chante believed that Kelly owed her an apology, but also didn’t think that Kelly would be woman enough to actually apologize. That wasn’t the only issue Chante was dealing with, at the time. A custody battle over her son with her ex-husband, Kenny Lattimore was stressing her out as well.

Team Fred

The clock was ticking and it was almost time for the monologues to be finished. While Kelly was still pushing for Torrey to produce the show, Mo decided to meet with Fred and let him know that she was rocking with him and was #TeamFred all the way. During their meeting, Mo let Fred know, that expressed her loyalty with him, to the girls. And vouched for his work ethic. Mo knew that once she told Kelly that the girls collectively decided to go with Fred, she took the risk of losing her friendship and not speaking to Kelly anymore. Mo was also aware that Kelly’s attitude was “my way or the highway” and Mo choose the highway because Fred was the best one for the job. Mo and Fred made a pack – Fred wouldn’t walk away and wouldn’t quit and they would both hope that Kelly would eventually come on board. Let us pray.

Kelly’s Birthday Party

It was the night of Kelly’s big birthday party and all of the ladies were on the scene, including Chante. But when Kelly noticed her, the tension in the air immediately rose. Kelly didn’t think that Chante should have came to the party but she insisted that she would ignore her presence and have a great time anyway. Chante, on the other hand, knew she had two options–either sow up and look fabulous or not attend the party at all. Of course, she choose to show up and look fabulous!

Later in the episode, Mo and Chante decided that they would have a sit down lunch with Kelly to clear the air. Mo took on the role as the mediator and brought up the whole “Timberlands & Vaseline” fiasco that occurred during the last monologue rehearsal. Kelly started off by saying that the props she brought were for her skit and not directed to Chante or anybody else in the room. Kelly then went on to say that the girls should just go ahead and do the monologue without her since her schedule was so busy and she would have time to rehearse. That way, the girls could have whoever they wanted to direct the skits and everyone would win. Mo wasn’t too pleased to hear that and felt let down especially since she genuinely looked up to her. IT didn’t sit well with Mo personally or business wise and definitely but Kelly in a different light. If it means less drama, I’m all for it!
