When Danity Kane, the quintet girl group created from Diddy’s “Making The Band,” announced their breakup #TeamBeautiful was devastated. It’s not like we weren’t expecting it (come on it’s Diddy we’re talkin’ about) but the shock was still there.

Last night at the 2013 VMAs, the girls announced their reunion, minus D-Woods. Somehow, Aubrey, Shannon, Dawn and Aundrea dared defy the Bad Boy black hole and reemerge to reclaim what was the girl group throne that Destiny’s Child had sashed away from.

Our eyes are still reeling from Miley Cyrus’ twerk fiasco but we found good news in the revival of DK.

“Show Stopper” Is Still Our Ish!

Danity Kane’s debut song “Show Stopper” was the summer anthem back when Yung Joc was hot. Though we’re still trying to figure out all of the lyrics, the Jim Jonsin beat begs to be danced to. Not to mention, it’s great “riding with the girls” music. “Show Stopper” peaked at number 8 on the official Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Now that Aubrey O’ Day is back in Danity Kane, we don’t have to watch her mortify her lips or body with any more plastic surgery or cry about not being 100 pounds anymore. The outspoken lead singer ventured into a solo career and tried to relaunch it by broadcasting her comeback story on TV, but not even the Oxygen network could breath life into her reality show or career.
