Love & Hip Hop Recap: Peter Gunz vs. Erica Mena

As we get deeper into this season of Love & Hip Hop we’re learning just how much Erica Mena hasn’t changed, just how whipped she had Rich Dollaz and how ridiculous the Peter Gunz love triangle is. See what unfolded last night:

Amina Buddafly Is Delusional

Watching Amina Buddafly try to figure out why her husband is still spending the night at his baby’s mother house, who he was living with and dating for 13 years is just a waste of eye sight, we will never get back. It’s exhausting on an annoying level because we just don’t understand why she doesn’t get it. “I feel like I’m more serious about this marriage than he is,” she said…well no sh*t Shirlock.

On their date at the park, Amina presented Gunz with a wedding band. “Where’s the chain I’m supposed to wear it on?,” he asked before allowing her to place it on his finger. “You know wearing this is shoving it down her throat right?,” he pondered. Gunz was still talking about Tara and Amina still didn’t understand why. “You know if I wear this sh*t around her, she’s going to cut my finger off.”

Well yes.

Peter & Tara Are Clearly Still In Love

You can believe Peter Gunz’s lies about he and Tara having fallen out of love which pushed him into the arms of another woman unless you’ve noticed that he hasn’t stopped calling Tara his “real wife”and asking her to kiss “it” at least one more time. Meanwhile Amina is still singing to the birds in the park. Last night, Peter visited his baby’s mother Tara’s apartment where they joked and laughed like he hadn’t just confessed that he married his side chick. In Tara’s defense, she admitted that the situation is crazy but can’t help but fall back into her and Peter’s routine when he comes back around. At one point she playfully straddled Gunz who smiled gleefully and said “You miss me, look at you.”

If you remember the episode when Tara confronted Amina, she called her an “outlet” and it turns out that’s exactly what Peter thought of her. During his confessional he revealed how he’d use Amina to get away from the stress at home. Duh! As Peter starts to realize what we’ve known since the first episode, it becomes more and more clear that he and Amina won’t last (in case you thought they might).

Peter Gunz vs. Erica Mena

Last night was the Peter Gunz show. After revealing that he only agreed to sit down with Erica Mena to stroke his friend Rich Dollaz’s ego, he, Amina, Rich and Mena joined each other for a bite to eat that resulted in a plate being thrown at his face. (Not that we’re complaining, he had that coming via karma). According to Mena, Gunz is the reason she and Rich broke up last season, totally ignoring the fact that she cheated and played him but hey, we won’t focus on that.

As soon as Mena laid eyes on Gunz she turned up (as expected) and vice versa. After hurling insult after insult at one another, the final straw that ticked Mena off was when he called her a “nasty, funky b***h” and she reacted by launching her plate at him.

In the forthcoming episode Gunz gives Rich an ultimatum asking him to choose between their friendship and Erica Mena and given Rich’s track record, we’re sure he’ll wiggle his way back to Mena.

K.Michelle’s Assistant Sucks

It’s like K.Michelle is not even on the show. We’re starting to believe Erica Mena’s claims that she didn’t want to be in any scenes with her and most of the other cast for that matter.

Michelle, who recently won the Soul Train Award for “Best New Artist,” graced us with her fabulous red weave and contoured nose on last night’s episode. She was upset with her assistant Brianna, who offered her eatable human, dog treats as a form of apology. Right before she walked in, Michelle was complaining about a mishap that occurred the night before. The assistant failed to have Michelle’s car waiting after a performance and had her waiting in the rain, hair dye dripping and all. “She got to go,” Michelle said.

She met up with Tara last in the episode, who confided in the “V.S.O.P” singer about pulling a Bernie from “Waiting To Exhale” on Peter’s instruments. After their brief encounter, K. Michelle bid cameras adieu and we’re not sure when we’ll see her again.

Besides the plate throw, “Love & Hip Hop” was pretty tame last night. But, the tension is continuing to brew in the Gunz love triangle. Tara even proposed a sit-down between the trio, but if we learned anything from Stevie J, Joseline & Mimi that’s not a good idea. What did you guys think?
