Drake, August Alsina & Nicki Minaj To Rock The ‘Wireless Festival’

Nicki Minaj, Drake and August Alsina are all confirmed to rock this year’s Wireless Festival at Finsbury Park in London in July, one of the summer’s top music events. Tickets go on sale February 3rd. Nicki will be headlining the event, marking a triumphant return to the concert series. The last time the Barb performed at the “Wireless Festival” was 2012.

The “Anaconda” rapstress  is set to take the stage alongside fellow headliners Drake and Avicii, as well as other acts Kendrick Lamar and David Guetta at London’s three-day musical festival. Last year, Drake had to pull out of the concert last minute because of an illness, but the concert -goers weren’t too bummed–it meant more time with Kanye West.

This is sure to be an exciting show, as the powers that be are encouraging their scantily clad headliner, Nicki to offer up a “sexy” performance. We’re sure she won’t disappoint.

Big Sean has teamed up with Kanye West and Drake on his latest track, “Blessings.” Big Sean is set to release his third studio album Dark Sky Paradise on February 24th, so obviously he’s getting us excited about it. The Boi-1da and Vinylz-produced track allows us to see what he feels blessed with and then you leave it to Yeezy to come in at the end and mention snapchatting, showing off his private parts.O_o It’s hilariously brilliant.

Previously, Big Sean released the audio of the track on YouTube, featuring Drake alone. Now, this version with Kanye offers up one extra minute of pure lyrical bonkerness. We know that’s not a word. All in all, we like the song and we’re kind of excited to hear Sean’s album.

Big Sean caught Kanye’s eye in 2005 when he slipped him a mixtape while West was doing an interview at a local Detroit station. Two years later, Big Sean was signed to Kanye’s GOOD Music label.

Ciara recently released her new single, “I Bet,” which is an emotional ballad about getting through a struggling relationship. And now she’s released an acoustic video version. We’ve all been watching Ciara navigate life as a single mother after having a baby with rapper Future and then splitting from him shortly after the child’s birth.

“As a songwriter, I always pull from my life experiences as well as the experiences shared by others,” the singer told PEOPLE. (She wouldn’t say whether the Harmony Samuels-produced tune is specifically about her split with Future, the father of her baby boy.) “It is important to me that my music feels real.” And real may be an understatement. Check out these sharp lyrics that are aimed at Future’s jugular:

“I bet you start loving me / As soon as I start loving someone else / Somebody better than you / I bet you start needing me / As soon as you see me with someone else / Somebody other than you,” she sings on the hook.

Check out the song above and in this acoustic version, you can hear Ciara’s vocal quality. Not bad, right? This song is said to be on Cici’s upcoming album, #Jackic, named for her mother. “As soon as I had my son, everything changed,” she says about choosing to name her upcoming album #Jackie after her mother. “I am now experiencing what [my mother] must have when I was young. [Becoming a mom] has inspired my creative process … and given me clarity both with songwriting as well as musicality for the album.”

The Super Bowl is coming this weekend and while many of us are excited to see Katy Perry rip it up at the halftime show, we’re more excited about the rumor of who’s going to be joining her on the stage–Missy Elliott! All we can say it Work it! We need a glass of water! LOL!

Billboard is reporting that Missy will be making an appearance on the Super Bowl halftime stage. Missy is featured on Katy’s song “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” from 2011, so they could be performing this track. We all know the Super Bowl halftime show is a high-energy good time and nothing says either one of those things like a Katy Perry and Missy Elliott mashup.  Perry has said that her show will include an “old school” female singer. And she said when we hear the first chord drops, so will our jaws.

It’s also rumored that Lenny Kravitz will be joining these two on stage. Ooooh, if he does, this show will definitely be one to watch!
