As of 9:51 PM on the Mayor’s social media account, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has stayed that she will put the city of Atlanta on a Stay-At-Home order for the next two weeks to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
See the Mayor’s tweet below:
Thank you @BrianKempGA for the updated state guidelines. Based upon our density & specific needs/concerns in Atlanta, I’ve signed a 14 day Stay at Home Order. As of now, this does not include essential businesses, parks, @AtlantaBeltLine & restaurants serving takeout. pic.twitter.com/c2rw5eWjmH

There has also been an update to the APS closure. As of tonight, Atlanta Public Schools will now be closed at least until Monday, April 18th, 2020. The current superintendent, Dr. Meria Carstarphen called into Ryan Cameron Uncensored earlier in the month to discuss their decision to close. Listen to that interview here.
