February marks National Heart Health Month, and this year, the spotlight is on raising awareness about heart disease and prevention. Tee Blount, founder of the Veronica Blount Memorial Foundation, is championing this cause by hosting several impactful events to promote better heart health in underserved communities. Raising Awareness at Perkerson Park, The Veronica Blount Memorial Foundation is kicking off National Heart Health Month with a community event at Perkerson Park Recreation Center. On February 1st, Atlanta residents are invited to drop by from 12 PM to 2 PM to receive free blood pressure monitors — a potentially life-saving tool in the fight against heart disease.
