Looking to make things official with your boo? Well, the ATL is one of the best places to do so!
According to a study by finance site WalletHub, Atlanta is the 4th best city in the U.S. to get married in 2025. Comparing over 180 of the biggest in the county, WalletHub analyzed each city across 26 different factors, including convenience, cost-effectiveness, and enjoyment.
The capital of the Peach State had some decent rankings. Among its marks per capita:
- 5th in Venues/Event Spaces
- 6th in Bridal Shops
- 6th in Flower & Gift Shops
- 13th in Musicians & DJs
- 13th in Videographers/Photographers
- 26th in Event Planners
- 88th in Average Wedding Costs
Only Orlando, Las Vegas, and Miami have a higher ranking than the ATL, with Tampa rounding out the top five.
On the flip side, if you’re looking to tie the knot, the study says to avoid these low-ranking cities:
- Pearl City, Hawaii
- Bridgeport, Connecticut
- Warwick, Rhode Island
“”When weddings can cost tens of thousands of dollars and prices have only become even more outrageously inflated in recent years, it pays to hold your wedding in a city that’s affordable, both for those paying for the wedding and for guests who will need to make accommodations,” says WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo. “Certain cities also make wedding planning easier with an abundance of options for wedding essentials, from florists to videographers to venues. The more options a city has, the more likely you are to receive competitive pricing and to find places that can work with your optimal schedule.”
In addition to the wedding study, Atlanta was ranked as the 4th best city for singles in the country back in 2023. So, needless to say, you have a very good chance to find luck in the love department!
