An unfortunate on-court injury went viral on social media after the Atlanta Hawks matchup against Portland… but it wasn’t a player that got injured.

Unfortunately, it was a diehard Hawks fan who had to get medical attention during the game on Tuesday night (Apr. 1).

As reported by USA Today, it all started when two fans participated in a Tic Tac Toe-inspired layup challenge at halftime. After the rules were explained, the fan (identified as “James”) went towards the basket for a layup, only to fall to the ground. The fan was seen clutching his leg as medical help arrived.

To make matters worse, the other competitor was very nonchalant about the situation, continuing with his own layup and proceeding with the challenge, which led to a little shaming from in-arena host and RHOA cast member Shamea Morton.

“Can you just wait? Can you just be kind and come over here with me and check on James,” Morton said. “We know you won, but OK.”

Despite speculation that the fan tore his ACL, the status of James’ injury has not been confirmed. We wish him a speedy recovery!
