MARY J. BLIGE HAS THREE NEW FILMS COMING TO LIFETIME

The Queen of R&B, Mary J. Blige, is continuing her successful partnership with Lifetime, bringing fans three brand-new original films set to premiere in 2026. Known for producing emotionally rich, women-centered stories, Blige once again lends her vision to projects that spotlight resilience, growth, and second chances.

The first film heading to the network is titled Be Happy. According to Deadline, the film stars Tisha Campbell and Mekhi Phifer and follows the story of Val, a 50-year-old wife and mother who embarks on a powerful journey of self-discovery after her children leave home. As she reclaims her identity and purpose, Val is forced to confront long-buried dreams and redefine what happiness looks like for herself.

Be Happy is set to premiere on Lifetime on February 7, offering viewers an inspiring and relatable story to kick off Blige’s latest slate of films.
