Ameriie (formerly known as Amerie), turns 36 years old today!
She met the producer (Rich Harrison) from her 1st album at a McDonald’s parking lot and performed a song for him in her car.

In 2005, Amerie released her sophomore album Touch, which spawned her biggest hit to date, “1 Thing”. The song, and the album earned her two Grammy Award nominations and gained her crossover recognition.
She married her manager, Lenny Nicholson in 2011.
